Thousands of euros a year less in costs, and a shop that keeps itself up to date
Ten Wolde Tools sells and rents out tools, workwear and machines to tradespeople and DIYers, from a shop in Lemmer and online.
- Thousands of € a year in platform fees, gone
- 4 hours of manual work a week, gone
- 35,000+ products online (before: just over 3,000 with photos)
What was at stake
At the end of June 2026 the webshop's platform went offline. Robin was paying it a hefty sum every month. Without a new shop he'd lose his online sales, and the business customers who order online.
What it delivers
- Thousands of euros a year saved. The shop belongs to Robin. No more platform sending a bill every month.
- 4 hours a week back. Prices and stock used to be typed over by hand. Orders too. Now prices and stock come from the till every hour. Every paid order lands in the books within fifteen minutes.
- Ten times as much to sell. From just over 3,000 products with photos to more than 35,000. The suppliers fill the shop themselves.
- Rentals earn online too. Rentals used to go by phone and over the counter only. Now over 100 machines can be booked day and night.
What I built
A webshop of their own, connected to the suppliers and the till (SnelStart). With rentals and a rental calendar, and business accounts that buy on account. All old addresses redirect, so Google never lost the shop. Live since 1 October 2026.
